A Royal Tournament

The Wimbledon Championships, the third major played in the atp tour, is probably the most infamous tournament on the tour. Played in beautiful London, England at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, it is the oldest tournament on tour. This tournament showcases the top op athletes in tennis, along with the up-and-comers, and is steeped in deep history. Players have to play strategically due to the difficult surface change, grass. Traditions and Prestige 

Since the beginning of the tournament, in 1872, it has had a strict all white attire dress code for tennis players. This all white dress code is just one of the ways as to why this tournament standouts, since it is the only tournament that has such a strict dress code. Another tradition is the classic mid day snack of strawberries and cream. It is a must get when you’re at the tournament! One of the reasons why this tournament is so prestiges is due to the Royal Family presence. Members of the royal family , and celebrities as well, sit in the Royal Box.
